This glacier lies in the National park Los Glaciares, a beautiful park with many glaciers and beautiful hiking places. The hiking haven of the south is El Chalten, from which the famous peaks of the Fitz Roy mountain can be admired.<\/p>\n<p>In the southern tip of Patagonia we can find Ushuaia, also known as the end of the world. Ushuaia is famous for its Beagle canal, but besides that penguin colonies, glaciers, estancias and a national park can be visited.<\/p>\n<h6>What to do:<\/h6>\n<p>Ice-trekking on one of the many glaciers, visit the Perito Moreno, hike the National Park los Glaciares, go kayaking, horse-riding, take a 4wd tour through the National Park of Tierra del Fuego, visit the beavers, fare the Beagle Canal, stay on an estancia.<\/p>\n<h5>Best month to travel:<\/h5>\n<p>El Calafate\/Perito Moreno from October &#8211; March. During these months all hotels are open and all activities can be undertaken.
